Level 1 Sea kayak Skills
Paddle Canada Level 1 Sea Kayak Skills certification course.
Ages 16 and up.
This two-day course builds on the Basic Level, working toward efficiency and effectiveness on the water. The focus of this course is on developing the skills necessary to organize and undertake day-long sea kayaking excursions. While depth is added to paddling technique, and new stokes and rescues are introduced, there is an emphasis on the equally important seamanship skills such as navigation, communication and decision-making at this level.
